Privacy Policy

Sidequests is designed around explicit sharing: your Finds begin private, and you decide when friends or the public can see them.

Information we process

• Account details, including your email address, profile name, handle, and sign-in records.
• Your email address and consent timestamp when you ask to receive Sidequests availability and product updates from our website.
• Photos, quest submissions, validation results, rewards, and pack progress.
• Location captured with a submission when you grant location permission. Exact coordinates are restricted service data. A displayed Find location may be visible to the audience you choose when you share that Find.
• Friendships, invitations, reactions, reports, blocks, shared-pack activity, and your selected Find audience.
• Optional product analytics when you enable them. Raw optional analytics events are retained for up to 90 days; identifier-free aggregates may be retained longer.
• Security, reliability, and abuse-prevention records needed to operate the service.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate you, validate photo submissions, operate progression and collaboration, show your chosen social audience, send updates you request, prevent abuse, provide support, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information or use private photos for advertising.

Service providers

We use Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and server functions; Sentry for crash and reliability diagnostics; Meta Model API (Muse Spark) to evaluate visible quest requirements in submitted photos; and Google Gemini for photo-based quest suggestions. Meta's Contributor tier may use prompts, completions, and submitted photos to improve future models. Apple and Google may process app-distribution and device information under their own policies. Providers may process data where they operate, subject to contractual and legal safeguards.

Your choices

You can choose each Find's audience, remove shared visibility, manage blocks, disable optional product analytics, withhold location permission, unsubscribe from update emails, and delete your account. Native share copies are separate from in-app audience settings.

Deletion and retention

Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, private photos, Finds, rewards, friendships, social activity, and user-linked analytics from active systems. Website update-list records are retained while you are subscribed; after you unsubscribe, we may retain a minimal suppression record so we do not contact you again. Some limited security, legal, backup, or identifier-free aggregate records may remain for a restricted period where required. See Delete your account.

Security and children

We use access controls, private storage, encrypted transport, and server-authoritative permissions. No system is perfectly secure. Sidequests is available only to people 18 years old or older. People under 18 may not create an account or use the service. If you believe someone under 18 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
