Hexicon Privacy Policy
Hexicon is a single-player word game from Pocket Powered LLC. You can play offline without an account. This policy covers Hexicon and its beta releases; older versions may not include the analytics described below.
Information in the game
Your saved runs, progress, and settings are stored on your device. Versions with analytics also send gameplay and app-use records to Pocket Powered when an internet connection is available. Gameplay works without a connection, and failed uploads do not block play. Hexicon does not include advertising or collect an advertising ID.
Gameplay analytics
We collect the words you play or attempt, game actions and choices, scores, equipment, encounter results, run progress, and time spent playing. We also record app and screen visits, starting or returning to a run, and app background and resume events. Records include timestamps, the game build and platform, and randomly generated installation, session, and run identifiers.
We use this information to understand how people play, improve game balance and usability, and investigate problems. The installation identifier connects records from the same app installation; it is not an account, email address, or advertising identifier. Hexicon does not ask for your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or microphone access for these analytics.
Analytics is sent automatically in supported releases when connected. There is currently no in-game switch to disable it. Playing offline prevents delivery while disconnected; recorded data may be sent when you reconnect. Clearing local app storage removes local records and identifiers, but does not remove information already received by us.
Storage, providers, and retention
We use Supabase to host our private analytics storage and processing in the United States. Uploads use HTTPS encryption. Supabase processes this data on our behalf; we do not sell gameplay data or share it with advertising partners. Hosting providers may also process network and service logs needed to operate and secure their services.
Our scheduled cleanup normally removes detailed gameplay uploads and session events after 30 days. Individual run summaries are kept for 180 days after their last update, then reduced to daily statistics that do not include installation or run identifiers. Upload receipts and intake counters are normally removed after 90 days. Installation identifiers and authentication records are kept to recognize future uploads. We may retain selected gameplay records longer to investigate a specific issue; cleanup failures may delay deletion. Daily aggregate statistics may be retained longer.
Local saves and analytics archives remain on your device until removed. There is currently no in-game tool for requesting deletion of server analytics. You can contact us about privacy requests; because analytics is linked to a random installation identifier rather than your email, an email alone may not let us identify your gameplay records.
Beta membership and support
If you join Pocket Powered Early Testers through Google Groups, Google processes your membership information, and group managers can see your Google account email and membership details to manage test access. Joining the group is separate from playing Hexicon. You can leave through your Google Groups membership settings.
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use that correspondence to respond to your request, manage beta access, and investigate feedback. Please avoid including sensitive information in reports or screenshots. You can contact us to request deletion of your correspondence or beta-access information.
Apple and Google services
Google Play, Google Groups, Apple’s App Store, and TestFlight may process account, installation, diagnostic, and beta-feedback information under their own privacy policies. This processing is separate from Hexicon’s offline gameplay. See Google’s privacy policy and Apple’s privacy policy.
Your choices
You can play without submitting feedback. You can remove the game’s local data by clearing its app storage on Android or deleting the app and its data on your device. Removing local data may permanently erase your progress. Leaving a testing group or uninstalling the app does not delete emails you previously sent us or analytics already received by us.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when Hexicon’s data practices change, including before introducing features that collect information. The effective date identifies the latest revision.
